cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) is derived from ATP (adenosine triphosphate), it plays critical roles in multiple organisms:it is invovled in intracellular signal transduction and it acts as an important second messenger in various biological processes. For example, cAMP mediates the hormon effects of transferring glucagon and adrenaline. Morevoer, it can bind to ion channels, and regulate the function of the channels, such as HCN and so on. cAMP plays several biological roles in multiple organisms. In eukaryotes,,cAMP and its associated kinases function through activating protein kinase A (PKA, or cAMP-dependent protein kinases) in glycogen, sugar and lipid metabolism; in Dictyostelium discoideum, cAMP, as an extracellular secreted signal, promotes the chemotactic aggregation of cells by transferring periodic waves from cell to cell; in bacteria, the level of cAMP is depending on the concentration of glucose in the medium and it reduces along with the increase of glucose, resulting from the inhibition of cAMP synthases as glucose transports into the cells.

cAMP plays a vital role in the progression of human carcinoma and prefrontal cortex disorders in pathology. As cAMP is a mediator in hormone physiological reaction, consequently, it is an attractive target in signal transduction network. Cloud-Clone Corp. developed carrier conjugated cAMP, antibodies specific to cAMP and other associated products for scientific researchers.

As a chemical molecule, cAMP is too small to get immunogenicity. Thus, Cloud-Clone Corp. conjugates BSA, OVA or HSA carriers to obtain BSA conjugated cAMP (CPA003Ge11), OVA conjugated cAMP (CPA003Ge21) and HSA conjugated cAMP (CPA003Ge41) as immunogen for later usage. Moreover, Cloud-Clone Corp. uses cAMP-OVA to immunizate rabbits to get antiserum, after the process of purification and selection, Cloud-Clone Corp. produces specific polyclonal antibody to cyclic adenosine monophosphate (PAA003Ge01). Furthermore, Cloud-Clone Corp. conjugates biotin to this polyclonal antibody to produce biotin-linked antibody to cyclic adenosine monophosphate (PAA003Ge71).

Result of western blot that is shown in figure 2 confirms the quality of this antibody, Cloud-Clone Corp. further tests the cAMP antibody by IHC-P with liver tissue (as shown in figure 3), the image shows a strong positive signal, which mainly focused on the cell membrane. All these results show that this cAMP antibody has a high specificity and sensitivity.

Based on the successful development of cAMP-carrier conjugates and their antibodies, Cloud-Clone Corp produces an ELISA kit for cyclic adenosine monophosphate (CEA003Ge). As cAMP shows the same molecular structure among different species, cAMP antibodies and corresponding ELISA kit can be used in the detection of cAMP from various species.
