IL10Ra is also known as IL-10 R1, is a transmembrane glycoprotein, belongs to the type II cytokine receptor family. It is a cell surface receptor for cytokine IL10 and is involved in IL10-mediated anti-inflammatory function. After binding with IL10, the conformational change of IL10RB is induced, so that IL10RB can also bind with IL10. IL10RB is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane protein that does not bind IL10 by itself. In addition to interacting with IL10 and IL10RB, IL10Ra also interacts with STAT3, interacts with JAK1 (via N-terminus) through its cytoplasmic domain, and interacts with BTRC leading to ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of IL10Ra.  IL10Ra is mainly expressed in hematopoietic cells, including T cells, B cells, NK cells, monocytes and macrophages. It is not expressed in non-hematopoietic cells such as fibroblasts or endothelial cells.
